ABOUT
About Us
CLUTCHROOM PC CLUB is a computer club on Collins Street, built for everyone who loves to play — drop in for an hour or make a night of it. Thirty-six fast stations, six group rooms, and a duel setup — every seat ready to go the moment you sit down. Sit down, load up, play.
The mission
We built CLUTCHROOM for everyone who wants a good machine and a good night — the ones who drop in for one more game, one more round with friends. Melbourne has plenty of places to sit at a screen. We wanted the one where the machine never gets in your way. That means no shared bottlenecks, no mystery input lag, no "it's fine" seats in the back. Every station on the floor is the same fast build, tuned the same way, so all you have to do is play.
The floor, the rooms, the duel
The Floor is twenty-four open stations — the loud heart of the place, where anyone can drop in and play whatever they like while the whole room hears the good round. The Team Rooms are six closed five-seat spaces with a shared board, built for friends and parties: shut the door, play together, keep the night your own. The Duel is two facing stations for co-op and two-player games — side by side, no distractions, grab a friend and take the next round. Three rooms, three tempos, one spec under every keyboard.
Fast seats, no excuses
Every seat runs the same fast build on 240Hz panels with quick peripherals. We tune for the shortest path from your hand to the game — and we keep it that way.
Built to disappear
Lights low, cable management clean, nobody hovering. The room is designed to get out of your way so the only thing you notice is the game.
Every seat is equal
Same time, same price for all. No pay-to-win seats, no better hardware for bigger spenders. Everyone on the floor plays the same machine.
The crew
A small team runs each shift — setting up stations, keeping the room right, and pointing newcomers to an open seat. No hard sell, no queue theatre. If a machine acts up, tell us and move to another while we sort it. If you're new to the room, ask; the desk would rather spend two minutes getting you set up than watch you wrestle a settings menu.
House rules
They're short. Respect the seats and the people in them — this is a shared floor, and the next player wants the desk the way you found it. Keep group-room noise in the group rooms. No cheating, and no gear that isn't yours leaving the building. Food and drink stay clear of the keyboards. Break a machine on purpose and you cover it. Everything else is just: play hard, don't be the reason someone else can't.
How a session runs
Book or walk in
Send the booking form with a room and a block, and we hold your seat and confirm by email. Walk-ins are welcome whenever seats are free — a booking is just the only way to be sure.
Check in and claim a seat
Stop at the desk, grab your station. Your peripherals or ours — either way you're in the game inside a couple of minutes.
Grab a seat and play
Load up whatever you're into and settle in. Pay by the hour or by the block; play as long as the night needs.
Bring friends into a group room
When the crew arrives, move to a group room — board up, everyone together, playing side by side — then head back out for one more.
